Scientists have registered nearly 10,000 aftershocks in the region of the devastating earthquake in the central Italian province of Abruzzo last week that killed nearly 300 people. This was announced today by Director of National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology Enzo Boshi, said. Boshi noted that all the aftershocks were recorded in the activated areas in the central seismic zone.
